Information for non-German-speaking fellow citizens

For fellow citizens who do not speak German or feel more comfortable in another language, the federal state of Lower Saxony provides information about the local government elections on Sunday, 12th of Sepember, 2021, in several foreign languages.

The returning officer of Lower Saxony provides two documents in the language of almost every European Union member state:

"General information on the 2021 local government elections"
"Essential features of the system of local government elections
in Lower Saxony"

These documents can be downloaded as a PDF file from the website of the returning officer.

Please note: You are allowed to vote in the local government elections if you are a German citizen or a national of another member state of the European Union and at least 16 years old on election day.
